Prototype Production

Mielke facilitates form and ergonomic study mock-ups, appearance models, and preproduction fabrication. Selection of model type and the degree of Mielke prototype services is based upon project requirements and client resources.

Alternative prototype services by Mielke include:

Direct fabrication (usually form, volume and ergonomic studies), vender subcontracting (precision prototypes and engineering models), and management of client/vendor activities (prototypes and preproduction).

Form studies help in the design process to analyze volume, proportion, and human interface. Appearance models present a replica of a production unit, are non-functional, and used for marketing focus groups, photos, and tradeshows. Engineering models allow analysis and verification of the form, fit, and function of parts, prior to commitment to tooling and production runs.
